I believe the default install folder is under programs sony acidpro 7.0)3) run the keygen and select the correct program from the drop-down box near the middle of the window.4) select the patch button, and if it doesn't target the programs folder by default, go there now. Select the sony subfolder, and target the Acid pro subfolder.
Press open folder button at the bottom.5) Copy the key and paste it in the correct box.ect. I had some problems getting everything to work together but thats only because I applied the patch to my acidpro download folder instead of the actual prog.
Once I applied to the correct folder everything went smooth. So let this be a heads up to everyone. Make sure you apply the patch to the correct folder. Just because the keygen opens up to /sony/acidpro70a does not mean that you have the correct directory. Make sure you are in C:program files/sony/. To apply the patch to the proper file.

I don't care how many times you apply the patch to the setup folder it won't work. I guess some people have to learn the hard way. I've devoted a lot hours to this already, read and re-read the comments.using windows 7, i install the program. It saves to program files (x86)i extract the keygen. It opens in peazip, then i run it.the 'digital insanity' keygen opens, i select sony acid 7 series.i generate a couple times, then click patch.it doesn't open it as default, so i open program files, and the sony folder where it's installed and hit patch.i invariably get an 'error while trying to patch' message.whyyyy? The only thing i can think to point out is that when i extract the keygen and it opens in peazip, i see the 'acid pro.exe' there.and when i try to patch keygen in sony foder i don't see the actual.exefor anyone who reads all of this: MANY THANKS.
